Simple Micellar Cleansing Water

Friday, 26 February 2016

Micellar waters are the biggest thing in skincare recently. From Bioderma to Garnier, almost every skincare brand has one. Simple has always been one of my favourite skin care brands and when I saw the had one, I really wanted to try it. I was apprehensive as I had already tried the Garnier and it broke me out pretty bad.

Skin Care Haul*

Monday, 29 June 2015

Recently I've wanted to get my skincare back on track as its been basically non existent the last couple months. Since my skin is the most sensitive thing ever, I have to be really really careful with it, or it'll just break out like nothing else. Nourish* kindly sent me two sample of their products to try. They sent me two samples of their exfoliating cleanser to try out. I haven't tried it yet, but I plan on it soon. The next item that I bought was A Sephora brightening & perfecting mask. I picked this up when I was in Sephora whilst I was in Barcelona. I went in with the hopes that they might have some Kat Von D products that I was after, which they didn't, but they were released in Spain literally two days after I left. Gutted isn't even the word. I actually have used this mask and since its a sheet mask, I ended up looking like something from a horror movie with it on. It did feel really refreshing but unfortunately it did break my skin out. No surprises there.

Review | The Nima Mitt

Saturday, 14 March 2015

If you saw my last post you'll know that I went to the Irish Beauty Show and I picked this up there. Whilst I was at the Nima stand, I spotted this. I'd seen it on line and wrongly assumed it was similar to Sigma brush cleaning mitt. This was described as something to take off even the most long wearing makeup and without irritating the most sensitive of skin. I bought it because it was only €5 and I couldn't really go wrong for that price. Before trying this, I did think it was more of a novel product. I'm afraid that was just a show offer and usually it is 9.95 but there is an offer on their website now where it is €5. Once its out of the packaging it feels very soft, so much so, that I honestly didn't think it would remove much makeup. I used this to take off my everyday school makeup which isn't a lot but my mascara (Urban Decay Perversion) can be a total bitch to get off sometimes. I used this with some warm water in the shower and straight away, makeup started to come off. It came off with very little rubbing and absolutely no irritation whatsoever. A few eyelashes did come out when taken off my eye makeup but i'm pretty sure that was down to user error more than anything else. Honestly my skin has never felt so clean, as when I used this. Once you've removed all your makeup all you have to do is just wash it out with some soap and leave it to dry.

I honestly didn't expect to like this half as much as I did. If you read my blog a lot you'll know that I have very sensitive skin, and this definitely did not irritate it at all. The fabric used to make this is very delicate, so I could see you having to replace it after a few months, but for the price can you really complain? It is the price of a decent pack of after all. Its seriously quick to do, literally 2 mins including washing the mitt.

I would definitely recommend checking this out if you're in the market for a new makeup remover. You can get it here
Will you be picking this up?

Excuse how unfocused this is, I didn't realise until afterwards
Last weekend I took a trip to Blanchardstown Shopping centre, I found so many sales and offers it would have been a shame not to of taken advantage. One of my favourite places in the whole centre is Bradleys Pharmacy. They have a great selection of makeup including NYX, which I find very hard to get a hold of. They had an amazing sale when I went and I got a third off the real techniques Core Collection set, which I am insanely delighted with. They were supposed to be €28.99 but I got them for €19.42. As always, I wondered into boots and took a look at the makeup. I went and looked at the Aveeno range. Aveeno is something I adore because its once of the few brands I can use that won't send my skin into meltdown mode. I got this skin relief moisturiser for around €3.50, which is a steal! Finally I went to Pennys (primiark). I found these shoes which I will have to break it but are totally fab. For €7 you can't really complain can you?
