Spring Blushes

Wednesday, 17 February 2016

I'm always trying to change up my makeup routine because I find it very easy to become stuck in my ways. In spring I do like a nice coral blush, because I'd usually go for a pink. The first blush that I think will be really pretty for spring is the Catrice blush in the shade Love + peach. This is definitely the pinker of the two coral shades. It can go on very heavily so a light hand is probably best with this. However, it doesn't have any glitter but still gives a fab glow.

My Must Have Eye Brushes

Wednesday, 22 April 2015

Eye makeup is probably my favourite part of doing my makeup. I love eye brushes and over the years I've accumulated quite a few.

This is probably the one brush that I would consider most important in my makeup routine. The Sigma E40 blending brush is perfect for blending out any colour. Its amazing. It makes my whole makeup routine a lot quicker and my eye makeup blend out so much more flawlessly.

First off, I know the tape around this brush does not stand to the quality of this brush but it happened within the first week I had it because I washed it wrong, but since then I have had no fall out with this brush. This is the Essence smokey eye brush, it was one of the first eye brushes that I ever used and i've never not had this at hand during my makeup, so for me it really is a staple. Its the perfect brush for placing colour in the crease and it blends out pretty well too. A great option if you're on a budget.

This brush is a more recent favourite of mine. Its from H&M and I'm really surprised at how great it is for a quick nicely blended eye look.I've had it for a while but never really paid much attention to it if I'm honest. You can use it to lay a shadow on the lid and also use it to blend a lighter colour through the crease. Another great option if you're on a budget.

My final favourite is this shader brush is from Urban decay. This is a fairly basic item in my collection but its just such a good one, and I like it a lot. There will obviously be options that are just as good for a lot cheaper, but this one came with Naked Palette, and ever since I just really love using it.

What are you must have eye brushes?

Review: Essence EyeShadow Quattro

Sunday, 23 December 2012

Hey Guys, so today I thought I would review my favorite eye shadow 'pallet'. Its The Essence eye shadow Quattro in 05 'To Die For'

Just a little overview of the Pallet

The four colours in this pallet Consist of A light shimmey brow bone Highlight shade,A champagne all over lid colour, a shimmery light-ish brown, and an almost matt but still a tiny bit shimmery darker brown colour.

Natural Collection Eye Shadow In 'Barley'

As for how I use these colours, I usually use them to do a light Gold toned smokey that works for either Day or night. I use the Champagne colour as an All over Lid colour. Once i have done this i layer the Natural collection eye shadow in 'Barley' (As Pictured Above). I use this shade to add a bit more sparkle to the overall look. Once I have done this I the take the lighter brown shade on a Fluffy blending brush and take it lightly threw the crease and then blend it outwards towards the outer the corner of the eye. Then I take the Darker brown shade on the same brush (I feel this helps it blend better) and just blend it lightly to the outer corner. I then Finish with a light line of the double ended eyeliner marker from Essence and a coat of 'City Curl' Mascara by NYC.

Overall I quite like this Pallet. The Pigmentation is quite Good in most colours, the only one that I feel the Pigmentation could be improved on is in the lighter brown shade as it can become a bit harder to work with at times. Other than that I have no Real complaints about this pallet. I would Give it 9/10 for the simple reason that i felt that it wasn't 100% foolproof but for its very low price point I would defiantly look into getting one.
