Disappointing products #1

Wednesday, 28 January 2015

As a beauty blogger I tend to try quite a lot of products, every now and then I try a product that just doesn't live up to the hype surrounding them. The Garnier micellar water is a prime example of this. When this first came out there was HUGE hype around it saying it was the closest thing to bioderma you could get. I have super sensitive skin and literally anything will make it rear up and go totally mental. I thought because this is marketed towards the sensitive skin market it would be a safe bet for me. Turned out I was wrong, it broke my skin out which made me really sad because I really wanted to like but I just couldn't.

Another Disappointing product for me was the Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on shadow pencil. I've never tried an urban decay product that I haven't liked on some level. Whenever I try and use this I find it very hard to get any colour pay off from at all. They're not very smooth at all, and are very hard to work with.

This Wet N Wild fastdrying nail polish in the shade Grays Anatomy . In the bottle this shade looks like a gorgeous oil spill/petrol colour. I found that it didn't dry fast at all and it chipped like no other nail polish I've tried. I would have it on and within an hour it would be significantly chipped.

Have you tried any of these?

  1. I was disappointed with the Garnier too, it irritated my skin and eyes

  2. my best friend hated the garnier too, despite my v sensitive skin it worked really well for me! goes to show how different things can effect different people..

  3. I brought the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water yesterday, as, of course, I needed to try it and test the hype. However I brought the one for combination and sensitive skin. Hopefully it will work a bit better for me than it did for you xx

  4. I eventually ditched the Garnier micellar and went back to cream cleanser. My skin was in bits!
