Top Two Of The Week #6

Wednesday, 26 February 2014

This week I've been just as sick as last week unfortunately. Just can't seem to finally kick this feckin cold. But onwards and upwards.

Karen on the lipsticks in her handbags.
I think this brought out the nosey nelly in me. I just love knowing what other people carry around in their bags, and also it made me feel less bad for carrying around 32425777758 lipsticks around in my bad.

Louise on youtubing
I love youtube videos and I love how louise showed us the background to her videos and all the effort that goes in to making one five minute video.

My Makeup Storage

Sunday, 23 February 2014

If you guys have been following me on twitter on and instagram you'll know that I've finally got around to changing up my makeup storage. The drawer unit im using is the infamous Ikea alex storage unit. I love this  because it gives me enough space to divide everything up into categories with some space left over. I store my brushes in two candle holders from ikea and I store two or three of my most used pallets in this napkin holder also from Ikea. I haven't Got around to actually dividing up and organizing everything by brand and what not, but one step at a time I guess.

Top Two Of The Week #5

Wednesday, 19 February 2014

With this week off school you'd expect i'd have loads of posts typed up and ready to go. Nope, just sad in bed all week and watched Breaking Bad. Can't say I regretted it.

Karen on the Smashbox full exposure palette
I love this post! The eye look Karen showed is so pretty yet really grungey. Thinking of re-creating it for when I go to see Beyonce.

Emma on Highstreet dupes
This post really caught my eye because I love getting a cheaper product that does the exact same as something twice the money. Will definitely be checking out the seventeen concealer!

My Every Day Makeup

Sunday, 16 February 2014

Lately I've been liking a really natural and minimal makeup look. This is usually what I wear to school or maybe if i'm going somewhere, where little effort is required on my part.

L-R: Collection Concealer in shades 1&2, Natural Collection mascara in Clear, NYC Showstopper mascara, L'oreal Lumi Magique foundation and Rimmel Stay Matte powder
I find that together, the Concealer & foundation provide really great coverage but it still looks natural. The Clear mascara makes an amazing brow gel, it keeps my brows in place all day. I really like how this look lasts all day and I think it looks really well. What are you guys' daily go to products?

I loved all the items beth bought. They were so cute! Complete fallen in love with the plaid skater skirt she bought!

Review: Simple Deep Cleansing Face Mask

Saturday, 8 February 2014

Recently my skin has been breaking out a lot so I Picked this little beauty up in boots a few weeks back to try and help clear up my skin. I LOVE this.I apply a good amount to my face and let it sit for three or four mins before rinsing it away. It made my skin feel really nice and soft, it did a pretty good job at unclogging the pores around my nose and they stayed clear as well as that. The one problem I did find with this product, however was that I found it did make my forehead/T-zone area slightly dry, but nothing a little bit of moisturizer couldn't fix. This really made the sore/irritated spots I had go down a good bit and also reduced the redness a little.

I would definitely recommend this for all skin types, but for dryer skined peoples I would only use it once a week because like I said it can be quite drying.

Hourglass Ambient Blush Review
I Loved this because the photos were such amazing quality. I Love reading about these blushes because I desperately want them, but alas being a broke teenager means I can't have them.

Lippie Loving

L-R; Essence lipstick in Natural Beauty, Natural Collection Lipstick in Crimson Ans MAC lipstick in Sunny Seoul.

So I've become quite the lipstick fanatic lately. Which Made me want to do this post, because I've got so many that I thought I'd share my favourites with you guys.  I picked my top 3 out of my growing collection, An essence lipstick in Natural Beauty, Natural collection lipstick in Crimson and MAC cremesheen in Sunny Seoul.

I really like this essence lipstick because its such a pretty natural looking lip colour (hence the name) and it gives a nice little bit of colour but still keeps with a really nice simple look. The Natural Collection has been my red of choice, its really vibrant and pretty. But something thats even better is that it actually suits my skin tone and doesn't make me look like a creepy clown! It deserves an award just for doing that. It lasts all day and just, love love love. And Finally the MAC lipstick in Sunny Seoul, its such a pretty pinky/coral, I love the colour and I think i'm going to be wearing it none stop in the spring/summer. What Lipsticks have you guys been loving lately? Let me know!
