Top Two Of The Week #2

Tuesday, 28 January 2014

These past 4 or five days i've had no wifi and thus the reason for the lack of posts for the past few days on here.

1-gh0stparies on Mac Fanfare Lipstick
This post made me want this lipstick soo bad! It looks like the prettiest colour, especially for my skin tone. If only I wasn't broke!

2- Youralmostalice on makeup storage
I've actually recently picked up a little makeup organizer similar to the one in the feature. I found it really interesting to see what she put in hers and such.

FOTD 19/1/14

Monday, 20 January 2014

This was Sundays FOTD but due to actually having stuff to do for once, I'm only getting to upload it now.  The foundation i'm wearing is L'oreal's Lumi Magique (I Reviewed it and you should check it out!). The concealer is The collection Lasting perfection in shade two, which completely deserves all the hype it gets. My eye shadows are from the Urban Decay Naked 1 palette with Natural collection liquid eyeliner and NYC showstopper Mascara. For blush I used the essence blush in Babydoll. On my lips I'm wearing the natural collection lipstick in marshmallow.

Top Two Of The Week #1

Saturday, 18 January 2014

Recently I've been trying to think of new post idea's and this is one that i've thought of before but put it on the back burner. Now I thought why not start it as a series. So basically I'll be posting about my two favourite posts of the week for the foreseeable future!

1- Fluerdeforce on Topshop Glossink
I loved this post! I think the products themselves are gorgeous! especially the colours. I also loved the swatches and all the photos.

2-Gh0stparties On Healthy Eating
I found this post so helpful! Especially since I've started eating more healthily myself so it gave me a little inspiration, because sometimes I can be at a bit of a loss at what to make myself.

Review: Sleek Face Form Blush & Contour Palette

Tuesday, 14 January 2014

I was in boots in Liffey Valley a while back when I pick this little item up. I didn't know Sleek had any stockist's  in Ireland, so like any dedicated makeup lover I Spent a good half hour marveling over it before finally deciding on this baby.
The palette contains three shades: A contour, Highlight and Blush. The advantages? It's really good for traveling as you only need to pack the one palette and not three separate products. Its also good for people with most lighter skin tones as its really versatile. Its also really good value, at 12.99€ it works out at 4€ for each shade so not bad at all.

As for the downsides, there are quite a few. The main one i've found is that the colour payoff isn't that great. I found that I really had to work my brush into the product to get any sort of payoff, and then I really have to work on blending it out to look natural. This goes for all the shades in the palette. I've also found that you have to be careful with the highlight shade as it can make you look a tad like a disco ball if you use it too freely.

Overall I did like this product but its definatly not a favourite. Its good for its price point but I won't be repurchasing.

Review: L'oreal Lumi Magique Foundation

Wednesday, 8 January 2014

Recently I've strayed away from my well loved & much trusted Revlon photoready foundation and I've tried out the L'oreal Lumi Magique foundation. I Love the revlon photoready ready foundation still, but I just felt like changing things up a bit. I got this foundation in the shade 01- Rose pearl. I'm pretty sure this is the lightest shade in the range.

I tend to have quite dry and dull skin and I found that this really does make me look brighter and more awake. So it definitely comes through on that promise. Maybe not one for people with oily skin as it can excentutate any shiny-ness that may all ready be there. Another thing I found with this foundation is that its really long lasting. I put it on at 7am every morning before school and come home around four and it lasts pretty good. It doesn't wear off patchy and thats always nice.

The only downside I found with this product is that it can sit on dry patches. But if you put a tiny bit of moisturizer its fine and doesn't sit in any dry patches.

So all in all I really like this product. Its one of the best foundations I've tried in a long time. At €16/17 its really good value and I would Really recommend it.

Its A New Year!

Wednesday, 1 January 2014

Its 2014! I know I've already done a post on how my 2013 was, but this is going to focus on my new years resolutions, and what I hope to get out of this year.  I've made quite a few new years resolutions and I really want to stick them because they're things I really want to change.

Lifestyle overhaul-  Over the past year my eating & exercise habits have gotten worse and worse. By that I mean that my exercise is basically non-existent and my healthy eating was really really bad. This year I really want to change that. I want to get fit, tone up and look better. I'm not doing this for anybody else, i'm doing it for me. I think thats one of the reasons i'm so determined to make it work. I have like zero energy and I want to feel better. I think I might start posting about my experience with this on here? Yes? No?

Adventure- I've found myself falling into routine lately and I hate it. I want to push myself out of comfort zone and live a little. Being in school leaves very little time for actually doing anything, I just really want to get out more and live my life.

Blog More-  I want to post more on here because I feel like in the last couple months i've kind of slacked off, but now i'm just really motivated to blog more. Basically I just want to have at least two blog posts a week up. If you guys want to get those posts straight as they're up then defiantly follow me on all my social media, all are linked in the sidebar! (Shameless plug)
